Not quite....Some very funny commentary about the history and background of different Corporate Bingo/Buzzword Bingo games.

For example: We used to do this. We had a program that would randomly generate a set of 5x5 bingo cards where each card was unique. Each square would have a buzzword with the center square marked FREE. The card was printed on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper and was formatted so that it could be folded in half and unobtrusively kept in a Franklin planner.

We used these in our large group staff meetings for months. One day I was I was watching someone else marking off a bingo word when the manager who was sitting next to him noticed the bingo card. The manager leaned over for a better look, then took the card away from the employee for closer scrutiny. "Oh, oh. We are in trouble now," I thought. Actually, it was no problem. The manager just let us know that from that point on, he wanted to make sure he got his own bingo card before each staff meeting.

An unexpected and interesting take...Cancun, Mexico: A colorful new version of Loteria! a Mexican version of Bingo reveals the powerful companies acting behind the scenes of the World Trade Organization (WTO). This new game, a deck of 54 cards with characters ranging from El Vaquero (the cowboy) representing Philip Morris to La Jeringa (the Syringe) representing Eli Lilly, is a popular bingo education tool for young and old alike about the corporations and their lobby groups who rig the global trading system.

From the Wall Street Journal...Ray Mundt, chairman of Unisource Worldwide Inc., has just learned that some of his employees have been playing a popular game called "buzzword bingo," in which participants track the jargon their bosses utter during staff meetings.

"I don't know," Mr. Mundt muses, "how this is going to interface with the communications side. I think it will deter from it."
